About The Founder

Premier Sihle Zikalala is the current Premier of KwaZulu-Natal, Chairperson of KZN and member of the National Executive Committee of the African National Congress.

At a young age during mid-eighties and early nighties he participated in the struggle for liberation in the northern part of Durban in Ndwedwe where he casted his vote in the first democratic elections in 1994. He then rose within ANC Youth League structures to become the North Durban Regional Secretary. This is where during the late 90’s the ANCYL of KZN decided to elect him to the position of Provincial Secretary. As the years continued he was given the task of being the Secretary General of the ANCYL in a conference that was held in Gauteng. After years of serving in the structures of the ANCYL he became the Provincial Secretary of the ANC in KZN and later the Provincial Chairperson. He has been a member of the ANC NEC from 2004 by virtue of being the ANC Youth League Secretary General and again from 2015 up until now.

Most people fully believe that his raisor-sharp mind and strong leadership qualities which he displays publicly and privately are the factors that contributed to him being appointed the Premier of KwaZulu-Natal in 2018 by the President of the Republic of South Africa, Honourable Cyril Ramaphosa and the glorious movement, the ANC. He is a man of commendable integrity and reputation, with a good image of politeness but tough and hugely dedicated to his organisational and government work daily including endeavours of helping other people to confront different challenges. He attained his higher education at the University of KZN and he currently continues his studies at the University of Wits.

He is a father to his children, a husband to his wife Mrs. N. Zikalala and a leader to the people of South Africa and the world.
